Ms. Nino Makhviladze, Hon. Consul of Sri Lanka in Georgia  visited Sri Lanka from 25th May to 05th June 2023 on an exploratory tour in order to understand opportunities that exist in Sri Lanka for tourism, trade and investment. Visit was organized  by the Sri Lanka Embassy in Ankara, Turkey  and facilitated by the Department of Commerce. During her visit, she was able to meet Hon.  Minister of Tourism & Land, Hon.State Minister of Foreign Affairs , Hon. Minister of Urban Development and Housing, the Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Commerce & Food Security,  Chairman of  Board of Investment & Colombo Port City Economic Commission, Chairman of  UDA, Chairman of EDB and CEO of the Sri Lankan Airline.

The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Karachi organized Sri Lanka participation at the 18^th My Karachi - Oasis of Harmony Exhibition from 03^rd to 05^th March, 2023 at the KarachiExpo Center, Pakistan.

On the invitation of the Consulate General, 07 companies including Sri Lankan exporters, agents in Pakistan and Sri Lankan Airlines participated in the exhibition. The Consulate General had a stall at the Exhibition with the budgetary allocation provided by the Department of Commerce, Sri Lanka.

In addition, the Sri Lanka – Pakistan Business Council (SLPBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Karachi, organized a 10 member business promotion mission to visit the Exhibition and join with several trade related discussions as well as B2B meetings with the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pakistan – Sri Lanka Business Forum and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Hon. Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh Province also visited the Sri Lankan stalls.
